Attacks On Jordan
Terror In The Land Of Terror

Attacks on Jordan came no surprise to me or anyone who knows the fabrics of the Jordanian society, or the mainstream media IA TV, and papers.

Since the success of Islamic fundamentalism was attributed principally to ;
* Indoctrination in schools. Chomsky defines schools as an institution for indoctrination.
* Financial incentives, awarded by the oil producing nations such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, and Qatar. These sums where used to build "Madaras" or shoals, where a radical version was introduced to the youth. This version of Islam relies on intolerance, elimination of others. It is believed that students were paid $ 200 to attend schools, and instructors were paid $ 500.
* Anger and resentment of the public for the failure of the Arab regimes to produce or generate any progress whatsoever including; economic growth, human development.
All of the above exist uniquely in Jordan more than any other country in the Islamic world.

Jordan: A ground to breed, nurture and export terrorists.

According to the Jordanian authorities, at the early dates of the liberation of Iraq more than 1300 Jordanian terrorists were arrested in Iraq. Most of which came as volunteers to defend the regime of Sadam. Jordan have urged the coalition to release them.

Some of the Jordanian terrorists:
* Abu Mussab Alzarqawi, most wanted man in Iraq, who kills indiscriminately. He was in prison in Jordan, but was release by King Abdullah. Alzarqawi is know by the Jordanian media as "Almujahid Alkabir" or the great holly worrier. His family who still lives in Jordan, has received gifts, and social status because of the death he causes to Iraqis, and coalition forces.
* Abu Anas Alshami, he was killed in Baghdad.
* Raed Al-bana, a suicide bomber who targeted a busy market in Hilla city in Iraq, he killed more than 150, and injured more than 200. His family and town people have made a celebration in his honor for the crime he committed. They received congratulation from others for the outstanding action he did. A local Jordanian paper "Alrae" covered the celebration. King Abdullah of Jordan visited the news paper office and praised them for the excellent journalistic coverage.

A study by the Washington Post showed that more than 15% percent of the suicide bombers in Iraq are Jordanians. The great majority were from Saudi Arabia.

The Jordanian media portrayed the terrorists activities in Iraq as resistance, even if it was attacks on busy markets or school buses. Therefore they have provided ethical and religious ground for the terrorists. Alzarqawi was hailed in Jordan as "The Great Holly Warrior"

According to Richard Engel in his book "A Fist In The Hornet's Nest": I found the Jordanians celebrating the attacks on Americans.

Out of 2600 accounts, investigators believes they belong to Sadam, 1400 in Jordanian Banks. Jordan has become the center for financial support for the terrorists who target coalition and Iraqi forces, as well as innocents.

Jordan has provided a safe heaven to war criminals from Sadam supporters, elements of the Ba'ath party who using Jordan as a base to attack Iraqi civilians and coalition forces .

The polling finds that in most majority-Muslim countries surveyed, support for suicide bombings and other acts of violence in defense of Islam has declined significantly. In Turkey, Morocco and Indonesia, 15% or fewer now say actions are justifiable. In Pakistan, only one in four now take that view (25%), a drop from 41% in March of 2004. A notable exception to this trend is Jordan, where a majority (57%) now says suicide bombings and other violent actions are justifiable in defense of Islam."
80 percent of Jordanians say they have an unfavorable attitude towards the United States.

There is a dire need from the Jordanian authorities to do something, or launch a public relation campaign, to moderate its own people.
